From the gloomy rain-soaked streets of Vancouver, to the icy white mountains of the Canadian interior, this dark psychological suspense debut, the first in a new series, features the brilliant, fearless, chaotic, and deeply flawed Nora Watts - a characteras heartbreakingly troubled, emotionally complex, and irresistibly compelling as Stieg Larsson's Lisbeth Salander and Jo Nesbo'sHarry Hole. Kamal lives in Vancouver, BC. A Dewey Diva pick.

This was a debut novel for the author. I found it rather slow starting - around nearly 150 pages - before it finally picked up enough for me to continue reading. I gave this only 3 stars. I hope her next book is better because I usually judge reading books by the first 50 pages to see if worth my while.
