I'm not sure this film says anything that hasn't said before, but it does say it beautifully. It puts forth its warning about large-scale industrialization and consumerism in a series of gorgeously composed still and moving images. In some cases, I felt like the images were so utterly complete that the commentary was superfluous. Indeed, by the end of the movie I was fairly glad Mr Burtynsky followed his photographer calling and didn't do a sideline into radio punditry or something. The movie isn't without its flaws, but if you've enjoyed wordless or near-wordless documentaries like *Baraka* or *Winged Migration,* chances are you'll enjoy this movie for many of the same reasons.
