I have rarely if ever read a thriller that was so complete s the Pendergast series is. Pendergast is the classic Sherlock Holmes guy, who prepares ahead and has all the answers, no matter what situation. In this book, he gets spiritually damaged, and he understands that he“…will never be whole.” This is the first book that I have read in the series, and it immediately drove me to read the rest. It was that good.
