"The German woman" is terrific but in a sort of depressing way. Everyone seems to be in character, no one outshining their more highly praised cast members. WWII England, 1940, the British are plenty mad at the Germans and don't want to see anyone of them in their villages and towns. Internment camps are set up. But someone is murdering people and Foyle's job is to find the murderer. The higher your position in life the more is expected of you. Murder respects no one.
