Such Good Girls

the Journey of the Holocaust's Hidden Child Survivors

I really like how she tells the story of several children hidden during the holocaust, and then ties them together and discusses their grown up lives and how the war impacted them in ways one wouldn't think of. For example one girl who was hidden refused to pick fruit at the grocery store - she would take whatever was on top, because she could not face the idea of being part of "selection".
