Confessions of a shopaholic, is a fun, light-heated book packed with humor and wit. Rebecca Bloomwood is young, pretty and has a closet full of stylish clothes. The only problem is that she can't really afford these clothes. Everything she has bought she has paid for with her trusty VISA card. She never really remembered that she has to pay all this off one day. So when these scary letters from the bank come, she has no choice but to try and pay off her large amount of debt. this is a bit harder than she thinks and Becky gets caught in some sticky situations. Did I mention she writes a column in the magazine Sucessful Saving? I love this book, it was written so honestly, I could definitively relate to Becky. I love shopping, its like the best way to relax, I don't even have to buy anything just looking at clothes, a frozen yogurt in hand, mentally going through my wardrobe, it's really fun. I'm not really an impulsive buyer like Becky though, but that is what made the novel more enjoyable. Rebecca has a great personality, along with the other characters in this book (tarquin!). Overall, Confessions of a Shopaholic is a novel about a young women trying to C.B and M.M.M (cut back and make more money) all while trying not to look stupid, especially not in front of the good looking but very intimidating Luke Brandon. I recommend this book to anyone looking for a good laugh, as this novel is filled with funny situations.
