I was pleasantly surprised by how Mr. Hockey comes across in this memoir. He tells his story, growing up, playing hockey, his family life, and life after hockey, in a genuine, down to earth style. The reader feels like Gordie is actually sitting opposite and sharing his story first hand. If you're a fan of Howe, or hockey history, you'll enjoy it immensely.
