The true story is so much better and I was a little disappointed that they never showed a photo of the two people who saved over 300 people, or a photo of the real people they saved at the end. The wife came across as very childlike mentally and lived in a very privileged protected bubble. Continuously putting everyone at risk, by having peaked the sexual interest of the German zoologist. She was portrayed as if she thought she could sleep her way out of everything. Which I just can't believe of women in Poland at that time, and I found that demeaning to the true people.
