***SPOILERS*** Various genres of novel have pulled in readers for a thrilling journey, especially those that fall under the classic murder mystery. The Woman in Cabin 10 captures the suspense of this type and uses the power of a smaller setting to create a dark atmosphere. After being assigned a seemingly pleasant task, Laura Blacklock, a journalist for a magazine company, boards a luxurious cruise ship where she meets sophisticated guests, and allows herself to get well-needed rest after a traumatic experience back home in the UK. Once the ship sets sail to the Norwegian fjords, things become increasingly mysterious. What sounds like a woman being thrown overboard is heard, and from then on nothing is the same, as cold winds circle the ship, and unrest develops. Not a single person wants to believe Laura, so she must figure things out herself. Among the crew and other passengers is a murderer. Rating: 4 of 5 - @Mercurial_Series of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library I really really LOVED this book. I loved everything in it. The writing style, the characters and the Agatha Christie twist. Firstly, the narrator wasn't unlikable, she was interesting regardless of her weakness and medical condition. Secondly, Ben was the best character in this book and I was surprised how she chose Jude over him, I loved all his actions and really wished until the very end that she would break up with her boyfriend and be with him again. Anyways, I heard that it's going to be made into a movie and I'm really excited and had already imagined Emily Blunt as Lo, Hugh Jackman as Ben, Haley Benett as Chloe, Chris Hemsworth as Judah, and Alexandra Daddario as Carrie. I give this book 8/10 and it is VERY recommended. - @rahmamawlood of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library A young journalist witnesses a woman's death on a ship, but apparently everyone on board is accounted for, so she has to ask herself if she's mentally sane or not. A suspenseful thriller that kind of mirrors 'Girl on the Train' 's protagonist. I am not going to lie, this book was horrible, there wasn't a plot twist and the murderer was clear one-quarter way through the book. The protagonist is whiney and immature, making this a difficult read. - @Florence of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library
