I liked this book so much that I decided to buy it. Ada is a young Black girl who’s a born scientist—curious, questioning, and constantly experimenting. The book is written in rhyme, which makes it fun to read aloud and captures the reader’s attention. I think this book would be appreciated by kids in all grades of elementary school, including fifth graders. Again, what I love about it is its fantastic representation (a scientist who’s young, female, and African-American, with natural hair and supportive parents) and it’s a very fun-to-read book.
